It is being heard in the news that Coronavirus has now declined almost worldwide with the power of vaccines administered to the people. And now, the second largest Covid care centre, Maa Ahilya, located in Madhya Pradesh has been shut down as there are no admissions of Covid patients, at least one.
The centre maintained totally 6,000 beds, starting from 600 beds in April previous year, said the authorities from Indore health department. Many industrialists and businessmen from Indore had donated money and the equipments while the health department, Indore Development Authority, Indore Municipal Corporation and other departments related served to provide the medical and other needs of the patients admitted in the centre.
About three thousand five hundred patients had benefited from the covid care centre during the second wave. Adding that for the third wave, operation of the care centre was recommenced on January 5 and in last around one month, around 200 patients were provided admission and treatment at this centre by a team of many as 10 doctors and many staff members.
If any person suffering from the viral disease is required to be admitted, facilities are available for them to gain free treatment in major government based hospitals collaborated with MGM Medical College. The Covid care centre will be again reopened in Radha Saomi Satsang Beas, if any surge in Covid-19 spread would again reiterate it’s severity, said the ADM.
